The Futurist Has Landed on Roku Through New ODMedia Partnership

The Prime Video documentary series hosted by global futurist Ian Khan is now streaming on the world's #1 connected TV platform.

Toronto, Ontario, CanadaAPRIL 2026

The Futurist, the documentary series that first launched on Prime Video, has been selected by Roku — the #1 connected TV platform in the United States, Canada, and Mexico — marking a defining new milestone in the series' global distribution story.

The selection places The Futurist inside 100 million streaming households worldwide, on a platform that commands 44% of all connected TV viewing hours in America — three times more than any competing platform, according to Comscore.

For a series built on the premise that the future belongs to those paying attention, landing on one of the world's most-watched screens is more than a distribution deal. It is validation.

Distribution Powered by ODMedia

The Roku selection came about through The Futurist's global distribution partner, ODMedia — a market leader in lab services and content aggregation for the streaming industry. ODMedia is an NPFP, an Amazon Preferred Fulfillment Vendor, an Apple Preferred Plus partner, and a Premium YouTube partner.

ODMedia maintains direct relationships with most major global streaming platforms — including Prime Video, Netflix, Apple TV, Google Play, Roku, Tubi, Pluto TV, Plex, Xumo, and many more.

From Prime Video to Roku

The Futurist first launched on Prime Video, where it built a global audience across 25+ countries and 45+ OTT platforms. It established itself as one of the most compelling independent documentary series in the global streaming landscape — covering artificial intelligence, the future of healthcare, the rise of humanoid robots, and the critical decisions facing humanity in the decades ahead.

Roku's selection of the streaming rights brings the series to the platform that drives more actual television viewing hours than any other connected TV ecosystem on Earth. Two powerful distribution channels. One series. One mission.
